A surprise hit
when it first aired in 1996, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND has
found its legs as one of television's most enduring and
entertaining sitcoms. Comedian Ray Romano developed the
series around his successful standup routines where he
lampooned the married life of the everyman. The comedian
stars as an altered version of himself, Ray Barone, a Long
Island sportswriter who has the wife of his dreams, Debra
(Patricia Heaton). Unfortunately, their life of bliss is
constantly being interrupted by Ray's bickering parents,
Frank (Peter Boyle) and Marie (Doris Roberts), as well as
his dopey brother Robert (Brad Garrett), who all live close
by. This 5-volume box set includes every episode from the
series' debut season, which explores issues of family
dynamics with a constant injection of hilarity. |

Ray Barone (Ray
Romano) enjoys a successful career as a sportswriter, and
has a stable, happy family life with a loving wife and three
great kids. Unfortunately for Ray, he can't shake the
attention of his overbearing parents who live across the
street, but may as well reside in the Barone family
residence, such is the frequency of their visits. Ray's
parents love to meddle in his affairs, often with hilarious
consequences. Meanwhile, Ray's loser brother Robert (Brad
Garrett) also loves to drop by Ray's place to bemoan his
failings in life at every opportunity, often causing
exasperation among the beleaguered family. A hugely popular
sitcom from CBS, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND began in 1996 and
the rating soon soared, placing the show among the Top 10
most watched shows in the country. The third season is
collected here in its entirety. |
